Empowering Girls
who have found confidence in themselves through sportsmanship
and teamwork in athletic activities. We provide sporting equ-
ipment, guidance, and leadership forums for girls 4-18 years
old to help build confidence and create empowerment over
possible body image obstacles
Welcome to G.E.T.S.
Anabella Rose originally created the Girls Empowerment Through Sports network with the purpose of organizing sports clinics for young girls struggling with negative body image issues, but realized there was an opportunity to do so much more for her community. To create awareness of the challenges so many girls quietly experience with negative body image, Anabella hopes to share her journey of self-confidence and acceptance for herself as a person to empower young girls when they endure the hatefulness of others as she did when she was younger.
She specifically found her confidence when she started working out, trying various sports, and settling into swimming on a daily basis because it helped her emotionally adopt and accept the body she was previously uncomfortable in.
